Balayage or Highlights? Choosing Your Colour Story
Two of the most requested techniques at the House — here's how to know which one suits your hair, lifestyle and maintenance appetite.

Balayage and highlights both lift and brighten — but they live very differently in your hair. Choosing well comes down to the look you love and the upkeep you're willing to commit to.
Balayage: soft and low-maintenance
Balayage is hand-painted for a soft, sun-grown gradient with almost no visible regrowth line. It's perfect if you want lived-in dimension and the freedom to stretch months between salon visits.
Highlights: bright and defined
Classic highlights, foiled from the root, deliver a brighter, more uniform lift and crisper definition. They ask for more frequent touch-ups, but reward you with high impact and precision.
The best colour plan is often not one technique or the other — it's the right blend of both.
At your consultation we read your natural base, your routine and the look you're chasing, then design a plan that grows out beautifully between visits.
